Names in the News: Rajeev Goyal |
Rajeev Goyal is the Campaign Coordinator for MorePeaceCorps.org. As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, he supports President Barack Obama's promise to double the size of the Peace Corps by 2010. Many people are ready to serve. According to Rajeev, over 13,000 people applied for fewer than 4,000 spots in 2008. He urges people to contact the White House before March 6, 2009 and ask President Obama to increase the Peace Corps budget to $425 million. Without the funding, Peace Corps will have to slash the number of available spots in 2009.
